What Can I Do?

“I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything but I can do something.
And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”

Edward Everett Hale

These are turbulent times and, in the midst of so much conflict and chaos, hearts are troubled.  For many people, uncertainty, anxiety and fear permeate everyday life and collectively we are facing huge challenges and crises.  There is a growing sense that we have an emergency on our hands and there is a yearning for greater peace and stability.  In different ways people are asking: “What can I do that will help?”

Rainbow Light Trust offers three ways to make a significant difference in your own life and in the world.  These three actions are simple and achievable.

  • Practise the Emerald Alignment.
  • Connect to ‘Ribbons of Light’ ~ Global Peace Meditation.
  • Join with The Prayer Tree ~ to request and to offer prayers.

More and more people worldwide are joining in this endeavour, in a gathering momentum.  They are discovering that it is not arduous to build these practices into daily life, although it does require sustained intention, focus and trust.  People find that the process of growing these abilities is life enhancing.

“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.”
Mahatma Gandhi

We recognise that humanity needs to unite and co-operate to find creative solutions to the world’s problems.  As we witness violent weather, declining resources, instability and conflict, this can feel like a colossal task.  We may doubt whether an individual, by making apparently minor changes in his or her daily routines, can have any real impact on the rapidly changing world.  In this way we fail to apply our selves.  We need to know that we really do make a difference, individually and collectively, through regular alignment, meditation and prayer.  These three practices can become our consistent response to these confusing and troubled times.

“We can unite in one mind, as citizens of planet earth.”
Masaru Emoto

It is encouraging to know that we can simply connect as part of a global community, working together to create positive change.  We can gain strength from the knowledge that we are joining with others worldwide in developing this commitment.  Our regular, quiet practice contributes to a momentum of energy that is powerful and benefits the whole.  As more of us become responsible in this way, we make waves around the world.  It is simple and profound.

The Emerald Alignment is a simple, safe and effective method of releasing anxiety and creating harmony by aligning the subtle energy body through the Emerald Ray.  This self-help method has been taught to all age groups, used in schools, residential homes and integrated into existing healing programmes by therapists all over the world.  While the visualisation process is helpful in sustaining focus to enhance effect, the alignment is much more than a visualisation technique.  It is a transformative, alchemical process and members of  Rainbow Light Trust  can vouch for the effectiveness of regular practice.

Ribbons of Light is a global peace meditation managed by Louise Oliver, who posts the weekly focus on the Rainbow Light Trust website and on social media.  Here is an opportunity to connect with others worldwide and to focus a collective energy of peace through meditation. All of life is conscious and interconnected and our positive thought affects our environment.  The effect is magnified when this is done collectively and repeated.  Please connect at 3, 6, 9, or 12.00 – am or pm – in your local time and take part in bringing a positive wave of energy to help those in need around the globe.

The Prayer Tree provides a means of individual assistance for people in need.  Prayer operates through connecting to energetic networks of Light and the process is facilitated by angelic consciousness.  The angelic network acts as an Intermediary for mankind, able to intercede on our behalf… but only on request.  To request a prayer for friends and loved ones, you may send an email to or send a message on the Rainbow Light Trust Facebook page.  A prayer vigil is held daily and we invite you to join us in asking for prayers, by focusing to the image of The Prayer Tree and requesting assistance for all those whose names are upon it.  Names are never disclosed and all requests and testimonials are confidential.  The Prayer Tree is managed by Lynne Kowalski.

If you are asking, “What can I do that will help?” please begin by connecting to the links above and become part of a positive movement for change and transformation.  Your individual choices and responses will help to bring hope.  You will contribute to restoring harmony and balance in these dangerous times.  In the face of upheaval and adversity, we are called upon to act.  We can act together, today and in the coming days.  Through our positive focus and intent, we can take personal responsibility and support healing for each other and for the environment.  In the words of Lao Tzu:

“If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbours.
If there is to be peace between neighbours,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.”
